Maryculter Woods

Maryculter residents have the results of the ballot to progress with a community buy-out of the nearby woodland.  The 67 hectares owned by Forestry Commission Scotland is for sale and it is hoped to retain the site for use by the general public. Culter School Summer Fair

Culter School Summer Fair: Saturday 15thJune 11- 2pm

In the never ending search for that elusive sunny day the traditional Culter School “Spring Fair” has been refreshed and rebranded as the “Summer Fair” and will take place at the School on Saturday 15th June from 11am to 2pm. The 2012 event was a great success and all the fun filled stalls will be returning. So why not come along take part in the nerf gun challenge, get your face painted or bounce to your heart’s content on the bouncy castle?. Locally sourced burgers will be available from the BBQ as well as tea, coffee and many, many fancy pieces. Entry to Fair will be £1 so why not come along to what promises to be a fun filled day?.

Resilient Communities Plan

Culter Community Council are developing a Resilient Communities Plan for Culter which would complement the work of the emergency services in the event of an emergency such as the flooding that happened in December and would help households prepare for adverse events. There is further information about this initiative on www.readyscotland.org.

2013 Gala Winners

Our Special Guest:

 Mrs Kathleen Walker- daughter of Peter Cruickshank, co-founder of the 47th BB Culter Pipe Band.

Kathleen was escorted around the Gala and assisted in her judging duties by the Gala Queen and her princesses.
