CULTER SCHOOL PITCH
(Proposed improved sports facilities)
FOLLOWING discussions with young people in Culter over the last few months, there is a proposal to create a 5-a-side hardcourt area, small skatepark and youth shelter at the south end of the pitch. This is an attempt to provide resources for young people who are not directly involved with any formal group or organisation. Drainage improvements last year to the pitch have improved usage but a hardcourt area has the potential for all year round use.
The project has support from Aberdeen City Council, Culter Community Council and Police who are keen to see this project move forward as soon as possible and is not intended to compete with but compliment existing or future planned provision in the village.
In an attempt to move this project forward a meeting is planned for late May/ early June 2004. If you feel you would like to find out more information or become involved with the Project Group then please get in touch as soon as possible.
We shall be looking for a person to liase with the young people as it is
intended that they will play a key role in the project. If you think you might be that person then we would like to hear from you.
