Maryculter News

News of events in North Kincardine can be found on the local Rural Community Council website. You will find it at www.nkrcc.org.  This covers the communities of Maryculter, Cookney, Banchory-Devenick and Netherley.

Community coucnil meetings are held on the third Monday of the month from 7.30pm in Corbie Hall, near the Old Mill Inn.

For further details, or contacts, try the NKRCC site or please contact heritage@culter.net and we can pass your enquiry on.

Maryculter Community Hall is a well used facility in the area. The hall itself and the playing field are used throughout the year for community events. Corbie Park also being the home ground of Maryculter FC.  The hall is available for hire.   The Car Park area has recently been extended (no need to fill up the Mill Inn Car Park now!). There are new goalposts and further changing room facilities are being looked at.

The park is an unfortunate victim of the Dee flooding , perhaps suggesting that Maryculter should start a Water Polo team!

"The South Deeside View" keeps the area up to date with community events four times a year. The magazine is distributed through schools, church, Community Council, groups and local businesses. Copies are available at Corbie Hall and by e-mail.

Storybook Glen  can now offer you a selection of gifts and plants in its Garden Centre. The centre and restaurant are free to enter- you don't need to enter the Glen itself.  more information
