Culter Theatre Club

CULTER THEATRE CLUB Founded 1991

Once upon a time, not so long ago, there lived a group of very unhappy villagers. No one knew what made them so unhappy, they just were. Then one day a stranger came on a visit, and spotting them said "Oi you lot, why are you so unhappy?" The villagers looked at one another in amazement and said "we're not unhappy." "Oh! yes you are." said the stranger".  "Oh! no, we're not!" said the villagers. "Oh! yes you are", repeated the stranger and she waved her magic wand.

Suddenly there was a puff of smoke, and when the smoke cleared the villagers were standing on a stage, dressed very strangely with a lot of booing, hissing, cheering - and even some laughter- coming from the darkness......

Fergus Hardie, Culter Courier, November 1994
