PETERCULTER PARISH CHURCH

The Right Rev. John Miller, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, rededicated Peterculter Parish Church on Sunday.   Mr Miller was welcomed to the church by its minister, Rev. John Ferguson, who also welcomed guests from the local community.  

The church has been completely refurbished, with the introduction of new seating, heating, lighting and carpeting.  The new church chairs arrived just in time for the service, after a lengthy and worrying delay.

In his sermon, the Moderator spoke about how impressed he was with the beautiful new sanctuary and its potential for the future.   He said that he was delighted to see the new comfortable chairs, the brightness of the interior and to experience such a welcoming atmosphere.  He also explained that as well as rededicating the actual building, he would also rededicate the people of the church, because the church was primarily about its people.
