Thanks go to Kathleen Robertson for her publicity in this week's Deeside
Piper & Herald regarding "Two Peterculter community stalwarts" Allan Pennie
and me. Allan, Chairman of St Peter's Heritage Trust and one of the
benefactors who bought the Heritage Hall, ; plans to create an annual Sports
Achiever Award dedicated in memory of members of the former local Juvenile
Football Team, the St Andrews Club. My own information told how I have
every issue of the Deeside Piper & Herald since it started as a weekly
newspaper, gave details of my BBC London "Fan of the Week" selection
and mentioned my 40th anniversary of producing our Weekly Bulletin. Our
thanks also go to the Deeside Piper & Herald for their prominent publication
' of our Match Reports, Lottery information and Culter FC News every week.

In December `87, our 1st season in the Junior FA, it was announced that
"Scottish ; Junior Cup heroes Turriff Utd (Premier Division) and Culter
(Division 1) have been named as the ; Bon Accord Glass teams of the month
for November. Culter's result in coming from 3-0 down ; early in the 2nd
half against Polkemmet to win 5-3 was a truly great achievement, especially
when i you consider it was their first ever `Scottish' tie, said selection
committee chairman Bryan Keith. |
