In Frank Watt's Grand National Draw in The Culter Mills
Social Club after our postponed match at the time of our Weekly Lottery the
£20 Winner was Val Jamieson,
Aberdeen - Val had also
backed Valverde at the Bookies.
Margaret Davidson's lucky spell continued when she won her 3rd
prize by also choosing the winning horse and the 3rd one at the
Bookies. In the interim, after Margaret's £10K win, she gained her 2nd fine
boost at her staff night out by winning a flight to
Amsterdam.
30 Years Ago. Culter's
most successful Amateur side are pictured below. Culter were the top amateur
team in the 1970s - winning 25 honours during the decade and just missing
out on the "grand slam" in 1975/76, winning six out of seven trophies
contested. Culter's haul of trophies were the 1 1st Division
Championship, the North of Scotland Cup, the Aberdeen FC Trophy, the Dickie
Trophy, the Hans Fyfe Trophy and the Chattan Rovers Cup. Culter reached the
Final of the Ewen Trophy and this, the very last game of our 1975/76 season,
was lost 2 - 1 to Kemnay with the match-winning goal coming from a
penalty.
