After the week's dreadful weather - frost, snow, sleet, gales, then heavy rain we did not expect to have a match but fortunately there was a big change on Saturday and our game went ahead much to our surprise plus the bonus of a win.

In the e minute Farmer sent the ball into the Parkvale goalmouth but it was ably held by `keeper Hogkins.  Next minute Jappy was booked for a foul on Shand. A 6th minute Morrison free kick found Shand whose goalbound header was stopped by a great Hogkins save.  In 8 minutes a Felber shot was held by Pirie.   A minute later Stewart was breaking through but was felled by Yeats just outside the box, earning Yeats a booking.  Farmer's fine free kick was turned past the post by Hogkins.  In 27 minute Sim swung the ball into the Parkvafe goalmouth but Hogkins gathered the high ball with Shand up in contention.  Parkvale came oh so close on the half hour mark when a Brooks shot was deflected against the bottom of the post and went -out for the comer.   Off the resultant comer a Jappy header went wide.      A couple of minutes afterwards a Farmer shot his the post and SMITH scrambled the rebound into the net to open the scoring in the 32"d minute. A tempting Farmer cross went just beyond Shand in 35 minutes. Two minutes later Farmer sent over a couple of corners in succession with the second one being headed narrowly over by Stewart. Five minutes before the interval a free kick was awarded against Morrison just outside the far edge of the penalty box but Parkvale's shot hit the defensive wall. Referee Burrows had words with

Jappy and Smith after a 44th minute clash.           Half Time: 0 -1.

Four minutes after the break Glass replaced Farmer whilst soon afterwards Parkvale brought on McKay and Hay.    Shand had a chance in 52 minutes but headed over.       Next minute a Long header was well held by Pirie but in any case the whistle had gone for offsides. In 57 minutes Glass swung the ball across to STEWART who hooked in a great goal.    On the hour mark Smith was booked for a foul. A couple of minutes afterwards Ogboke replaced Shand, then Horne came on for Cowperwaite.   A 67th minute Greig corner went dangerously across the Culter goalmouth but there were no takers. Yeats was booked again in 74 minutes for a foul on Glass and was sent off for this second yellow card. A fine through ball from midfield put OGBOKE in the clear and he finished in clinical style to make it 3 - 0 in 76 minutes.   Two minutes later Allan replaced Smith.  Glass cut the ball back to Ogboke who missed a great chance by shooting narrowly past in 80 minutes. Ogboke raced through soon after but shot wide.  In 83 minutes a penalty was awarded against Scott for obstruction and LONG reduced the leeway with a well taken spot-kick. Two minutes before the end the ball broke to STEWART who completed the scoring with a cracking goal for our valuable win.
