Moir Match. The customary Echt & District Summer League Moir Cup Final took place at Crombie Park, Culter on Friday 29 July 2005.

The Final featured Drumoak versus Millbank - not The Richmond Arms as previously announced.   Result: Drumoak 0 v Millbank 4

Senior Echt & District Member Bob Taylor made his speech after the game and I presented the Tough Cup, in memory of Davie Tough, to Runners-up Drumoak then awarded my late father Abbie's Cup, dating back to 1966, to Winners Millbank. Millbank were also presented with their Trophy for winning the League.

Friendly Fixtures - Results (at Crombie Park, Culter)

Monday 25 July 2005 -

Culter 3 v Great Western United 1 Half Time 2 - 0.       Referee: Martin Kerrigan, Aberdeen. Culter Scorers: Kyle Scott (Trialist), Roddy Cameron and Peter Stewart. Culter scored through Kyle Scott and Roddy Cameron in the 1St period. Great Western United reduced the leeway quarter an hour after the interval with a well struck free kick but Peter Stewart put Culter back in the driving seat. Culter had an incredible miss late on in the game when "Toastie" somehow failed to score from close range then Peter Stewart's try hit both posts but still didn't cross the goal-line.

Thursday 28 July 2005 -

Culter 0 v Aberdeen FC Under 21s 3 Half Time: 0-1.                                  Referee: A Mather, Aberdeen.

The young Dons went ahead just before the interval through Andrew Bagshaw. A brace of second half goals from Chris McGuire completed the scoring for Neil Cooper's team. Aberdeen staff members observing their side's performance included Jimmy Nicholl, Chic McLelland and John Morgan.

Lee `n' Leigh.  Congratulations go to our Assistant Team Manager Lee O'Brien on the occasion of his marriage to Leigh Stott on Saturday 30 July 2005.

Meeting Moved.  The Committee Meeting of Culter Football Club was due to take place on Tuesday 2 August 2005 but in view of our first Grill League Cup game that evening it has been moved to Wednesday 3 August 2005.     Meeting to take place in Crombie Park Pavilion, Cu!ter, commencing at 7.00 pm.
