Soccer World Super League - Banks O' Dee 1 Cutter 4 H-T 1-1
Scorers - Banks O'Dee - Wilson 25. Cutter - Cameron 9, 70, Craik 58, Stewart 75.

Cutter moved 2 points clear at the top of the Super League with a comprehensive victory over erstwhile title rivals Dee at a wintry Spain Park in front of a large and shivering crowd: At one point the match was in jeopardy with near whiteout conditions but the dinging desisted with 15 minutes to go with Cutter already 4-1 to the good.

Cutter started with their foot on the gas and created a good opportunity within 2 minutes when Christie passed to Craik who in turn fed McRitr, hie but Neish somehow managed to keep the ball out of the net. Dee who looked extremely rapid up front had an opening in the 7th minute when Ogboke turned in the box but he dragged the ball wide of target. The Deesiders then took the lead with a goal of real quality when a punchy Adam free kick was met by CAMERON who bulleted a terrific header home from 12 meters. Dee were dealt a blow moments later when Cheyne went off injured and he was replaced by McRae but the home side did have a chance from a Ferrie comer but M. Pine punched the ball to safety. Cutter should have doubled their advantage in the 20th minute when a great through ball by McRitchie found Craik free on goal but Neish stuck a foot out at the fast moment to deny the left sided player. Out of the blue Dee were back in it when the Cutter defence failed to deal with a deep free kick which MGntosh headed back across the face of the goal and WILSON was on hand to nod the ball home. Minutes later the same player was yellow carded for a high tackle on Christie as the slippery conditions began to tell. Dee then had a period of domination as the snow began to fall heavily but they failed to trouble M. Pirie in the Cutter goal until a deep comer from Ferrie was blasted into the side netting by Foy.

Before the start of the second period the refereeing team- inspected the pitch and deemed the game was still playable but switched to orange balls.,Culter cracked on early doors when Cameron sent ;n a greot ball from the right but Neish managed to scoop the ball out from the feet of Craik. At the other end Dee had a wonderful scoring prospect when McRae found Scaieff free in the box but all he could do was sclaff the ball over the bar.
Middler was next to earn the referee's wrath when he was yellowed for a dangerous tackle on Christie. The visitors took the lead for the second time with a well worked move involving several players but it was Calder who delivered a perfectly weighted ball from inside the area to CRAIK who slid the ball under the less than nubile Neish. The Crombie Park men were totally dominant by now and even Allan almost added to the tally with a finely timed looping header which beat the flailing Neish but landed on the roof of the net. Dee were living on their nerves by now and Mclntosh almost put one into his own net when he sliced at a Cameron cross. Culter went 3-1 up soon after with another intricate passing move when an Adam short free kick was worked into the box by Craik who tapped the ball to CAMERON with his back to goal but he spun and sent a low drive into the comer of the net. Dee were a spent force soon after when STEWART who had been threatening all evening produce a solo of the highest quality when he danced through a host of defenders before finishing clinically. The snow then stopped falling but Cutter kept up the onslaught and McRitchie was unlucky with a header from an Adam comer. With 10 minutes left Cutter sent on Smith, Davidson and Thain for Stewart, Calder and Adam but there were no incidents of interest not until a frustrated Ogboke got booked for hacking down Rattray in the centre circle.
