Frozen Fixture - Saturday 20 November 2004. Disappointingly our Top of the
Table clash
with Glentanar was unexpectedly postponed. Crombie Park was declared
playable by Inspection Referee Graham Catto at around 9 a.m. and it seemed
like all systems go. We were then taken aback when Match day Referee Paul
Cheyne's pre-match inspection gave the decision that the pitch was frozen
and unplayable. A big crowd went home in sunshine.

Maryhill Match. Culter have been drawn to play Maryhill FC at home in
the 3rd
Round of the OVD Scottish Junior Cup on Saturday 4 December 2004. Prior to
yesterday they were 4th in the West Super League having played 7 league
games
with a record of won 4 drawn 2 and lost 1. They had 14 points and were 2
points off
the lead held by Glenafton who had 16 points but had played a game more.
Quote from the Glasgow Evening Times: "Meanwhile, Petershill and Maryhill
officials were having proverbial kittens nearing the close of the OVD Cup
draw.
With only two ties remaining to be called there were real fears of the
fierce Glasgow
rivals being paired, so there were sighs of relief all round at Culter
coming out with
the Lochburn men. Not for long - it was quickly revealed the North Region
cracks
are reigning champions, and currently top of this season's standings. Said
`Hill
gaffer Ronnie Lowrie "Anyone thinking we've landed an easy tie is in for a
rude
awakening." "Culter also have a decent Cup pedigree, reaching the fourth
round
last season before going out to Hill O' Beath, so we'll have our work cut
out to get
through."
