Walk, Jog and Run in aid of Charity

Saturday 21st August

THE Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside is again organising this year's Deeside WalkorRun along the old Deeside railway line. Participants of all ages and abilities can walk or run a 2km or 1Okm course starting at the former Cults Railway Station (now Cults Business Park) with registration between 9.45am -11 am.

There also will be a separate; 9.soam start to a 10km race for more competitive runners. Registration for serious competitors will open at 8.45am.

Deeside Rotarian, Mike Hedges, said: 'We hope participants will persuade as many friends and colleagues as possible to sponsor them as this year's charities are very deserving. Unsponsored entrants are also welcome but we do hope they will be able to make a donation of at least £10.'

This year's beneficiaries are Mental Health Aberdeen and WaterAid.

Whatever your age, whatever your athletic ability; whatever your interest vou are ver_v welcome to come along on the 21st to walk, run, jog or just support this worthwhile event.

£900 boost to Chest, Heart and Stroke charity

When the ASDA Superstore at the Bridge of Dee decided to organise a charity event to celebrate the 4th Julv, they asked the Rotarv Club of Aberdeen Deeside to assist them. As a result of this joint venture, £900 was raised for Chest, Heart and Stroke charities.
