Eastleigh Care Centre
Forthcoming Events
AS I write this article I
am looking out at all the lovely plants in our Eastleigh garden. These were
bought with some of the money raised at our May Fayre which, once again, turned
out to be most successful. This was due in no small way to yourselves who made
the effort to come along to support us. Many thanks for that.
In our garden we now have
two new beautiful garden seats gifted by Alec Williamson in memory of his wife,
Betty, a resident at Eastleigh for around 18 months. We are much indebted to
Alec for this kind gesture and the residents and their relatives are enjoying
the comfort they provide.
Our next event at
Eastleigh will be a BBQ on Saturday, 4 September in the grounds of the home. We
had a most successful one last year so hopefully this year will be a repeat.
A Quiz Night is proposed
to be held on Friday 1st October and our popular Silent Auction on Friday, 12
November. There will be posters advertising these events distributed throughout
the village nearer the time.
Throughout the Autumn
season I am hoping to hold a number of Traditional Afternoon Teas to which
members of the community will be invited to attend. I have been on the look out
for Bone China Tea Sets, Cake Plates, Sugar Tongs etc. If you have any such
items gathering dust and would wish to part with them please contact me at the
home.
I am also rebuilding
memorabilia for a Reminiscence Room. Once again, if you can help, please contact
me.
