ROTARY CLUB OF
ABERDEEN
DEESIDE
THE ROTARY Club of
Aberdeen Deeside, with the help of North East artist Alison Ewan, raised £2,200
in aid of the Cardiac Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and some other local
charities. Alison shared some “tricks of her trade” with an audience of more
than 200 as she painted a local scene.
Her water-colour painting was
auctioned for £400 at the end of the evening.
The Rotary Club’s next fund-
raising event will be the “Deeside WALKorRUN” to be held on Saturday 25th
August during MBC Festival week. This will be a fun event for people of all ages
and abilities who want to walk or run 2km (1.25 miles) or 10km (6.25 miles) for
charity on the old railway track from Cults. There will be a group start for
10km competitive runners at 09.30. Proceeds will be donated by Rotary to
Childline
Scotland
, Polio Plus (to eradicate polio world-wide), and other charities. To obtain an
entry form and sponsorship sheet, please e-mail walkorrun@btopenworld.com.
