DEE-CIDERSTAKING advantage of a ‘special break’ offer in April, we spent a few days exploring the Pitlochry area. En route via Glenshee, it was quite dull and misty but some decided to tackle Schiehallion while others climbed Craigower, a local marked walk. At the top of Craigower, unfortunately, the mist shrouded the hills indicated on the view pointer. The views from Schiehallion also were obscured, but those in the group made it to the top - well done! On the way down from Craigower, we stopped at The Moulin, a lovely olde worlde pub with real log fires burning, and admired the many beautiful gardens on the way. Tuesday dawned bright and
promising and after breakfast we set off on foot past the Pitlochry Festival
Theatre, along the river to the Pitlochry Dam (with its fish ladder and viewing
chamber to see salmon jumping) then along the River Tummel. We progressed on to
