DEESIDE CHORISTERS

MANY thanks to the largenumbers who turned out for our Gala Concert on 15 June at St John’s Church , Aberdeen . It was the nearest thing to a ‘popular concert’ that we ever do, and raised a substantial sum towards the restoration of the church roof and stonework.

The choir is on holiday until 20th August. On the 23rd we travel to Elgin to sing at Pluscarden Abbey, preceded by a visit to the Moray Leisure Centre where there is both swimming and skating.

On 5 September, we go to Linlithgow for a long weekend, combining great holiday activities with musical training and a public appearance at Stirling .

Over the period August- September, we hold our annual recruiting drive. If your children attend a local school, you will be hearing from us! Giving this

lively organisation a try is to follow more than 500 other children who have sung happily with us over the years. It is one of the ways of

enjoying a fine musical experience without having to buy an expensive musical instrument.

Our numbers have held steady at about 45, but this drive makes sure that there plenty of young talent coming on. Please call for a prospectus without obligation.
