CULTER VILLAGE HALL NEWS

ON June 3rd, we held a Jubilee Garden party in the garden behind the hall. Although the weather was not ideal we enjoyed a fun afternoon and even got a spot on the Grampian Evening News, I would like to thank the CDCA committee who worked so hard to make the afternoon a success.

During the summer holidays a small group of volunteers painted the lounge area and the loo for the disabled. It certainly looks clean, bright and inviting now. Special thanks to Alison Skinner, Alison MacDonald, Sheila Walker and Anne Traill for the hours they spent getting covered in paint, all in a good cause.

On a more worrying note, there were two attempted break-ins at the hall during the last week of June. Luckily the hall is secure and protected by an alarm system. There was nothing more than minimal damage to the doors and windows.

The hall re-opens after the holidays on Monday August 12th and all regular activities start again the following week when the schools return. Kindergym starts up again on Wednesday 28th August.
