CCC NEWSCHAIRMAN'S REPORT So the summer is now with us, I do not feel there will be much problem with Sun Burn, more like Damp Rot. But it may get better? We had to say good bye to John Robertson as he has moved away to the big city. He was a great help in keeping the finances in both the Gala and the CCC in working order, and we wish him and his family well in the future in their new home. We are very lucky in having Nicola Hector, who has taken up the challenge of keeping the books right, with a very positive start. The members of your CCC still continue to follow the many projects which are still to be resolved, such as roads, planning and supporting the Community Police who do such a good job in the Culter area. I still repeat my call to the Community, your support is the only way we can help so come and talk to us, May the next few weeks allow you to get into your garden and relax in the Sun which they say is coming. F WELLER SECRETARY'S REPORT As our Chairman has written, we lost the services of John Robertson earlier this year. Members of CCC were well aware of the amount of time and effort John devoted to keeping the finances in order and we thank him for this. John first came to CCC because of his concerns about a proposal to place traffic lights at the junction of N Deeside Road and Coronation Road. Many years on, of course, a Zebra Crossing was installed slightly nearer town. What a surprise we had when someone actually volunteered to take over as Treasurer! We usually have to connive, cajole, wheedle etc. but we were delighted to welcome Nicola Hector. She is especially welcome as she takes the average age for CCC down quite considerably. During Gala events, Nicola was guided by Ann Wakefield who has been a mainstay of the Gala for many years. Our thanks to Ann and the Gala Committee who, once again, proved that hard work can pay off.
