47th CULTER BOYS' BRIGADE COMPANY

THE Boys are now enjoying their Summer Break before starting the new BB session at the beginning of September. However the Pipe Band boys do not get any time off, with many local and major competitions to attend during August including the World Pipe Band Championships, Glasgow and The Cowal Games, Dunoon. The Pipe Band enjoyed a memorable weekend attending the Queen's Golden Jubilee Celebrations in London during June where they performed at St Katherine's Dock, Trafalgar Square, The Mall then finishing at Buckingham Palace - an excellent experience for all involved!

The beginning of July saw the boys heading to Ballater for our two week long Summer Camp at our Lebhall Site. All Boys and Officers thoroughly enjoyed this year's activities which included Quad Biking, Gorge Walking, River Dee Activities, Karaoke and Helicopter Rides.

We held our annual visitors day on Sunday 7th July, where over 200 attended, this being the afternoon of the Helicopter Rides over Deeside kindly donated by HJS Helicopters of Peterculter. Thankfully the weather stayed dry for us during the two weeks, in particular for the Helicopter Rides.

We also attended Crathie Kirk during our Camp where the Rev Bob Sloan provided an excellent service for the Boys and Officers.
