| THE football season is nearly over and unfortunately, this
time, none of the Culter Boys Club teams has been able to repeat the
success of the under 14s who won their league last year. The best we can
hope for is a mid table finish for some of our teams taking part in
11-a-side league competitions.
There still have been some great individual performances during the
season such as the 49 goals scored by Tom Fegen of Drumoak for our under
12s in all league and cup games, including 4 in the last game of the
season in a 9-5 loss to the league winners Sheddocksley Hearts.
Information on results and league positions for all of our reams can be
found on the Culter Boys Club website at www.culterboysclub.btintemet.co.uk
The boys, team managers, parents and supporters are all looking forward
to the end of season presentation night, which this year is planned for
Wednesday 5 June at Blairs College. Last year we had Aberdeen Football
Club stars Cato Guntveit and Hicham Zerouali as guests to help present the
awards and we are hoping to have a famous face or two again this year.
Before that, Culter Boys Club will be well represented at the Culter
Gala on Saturday 1 June when we will have a stall, and plan to take part
in the annual 'It's a Knockout' competition. We also will have teams in
the 5-a-side competition.
