CULTER SCHOOL PTA

TOWARDS the end of last term, Culter School held its annual Spring Sale which is the biggest fund raising event of the year, raising in the region of £2,500. We thank all the businesses and individuals in Culter who donated raffle prizes for the Sale - we value your support! The funds raised provide many different items for the school ranging from Christmas craft supplies, reading and maths books, playground equipment to TV/videoplayers. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Sale such a success.

The end of term saw the departure of two important members of Culter School. Mrs Margaret Adams, Child Supervisor, retired after 16 years service to the school and Mrs Christine Compton, Head Teacher, left to join her husband who has been transferred to work in China. They will be missed very much but we wish them luck in the future.

Our new Head Teacher, Mrs Jayne Glover, takes up her post on 28 May and we wish her a warm welcome to Culter. Mrs Glover is Head Teacher at Midmar Primary and Acting Head at Kinellar.

The current term is well underway and we have had another successful Bingo night. After the end of year barbecue we will look forward to a long, hot summer - well we can always hope!
