47th CULTER BOYS' BRIGADE COMPANY
WE are now moving towards our Summer activities within the Brigade. We are beginning to get the boys outside on a Thursday evening weather permitting. The Pipe Bands have begun their list of competitions with a great start at Troon on Saturday 20th April for the annual BB Pipe Bands Contest where they took a Ist and 3rd place in the Mini Band contest and lst place for the overall Band contest. They also won the best appearance/turn-out on the day, which includes marching and discipline. We held a Car Wash/Coffee Morning/ Soup & Sandwiches on Saturday March 30th at Peterculter Parish Church and we raised E608 for Company funds; thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser. We are holding a Race Night with Northsound Two (Saturday Lie In) on Friday 24th May at Culter Mills Club - please check our website for ticket availability. It is now less than a month away when the Pipe Band will travel to London for the Queen's Golden jubilee Celebrations. We are travelling down by train to London and have booked accommodation on the HMS Belfast, which everyone is looking forward to. We shall be performing all day on Saturday 8th, with Sunday 9th being planned for visiting various London attractions.
HELICOPTER RIDES AT OUR SUMMER CAMP
Our Summer Camp activities are now all in place which this year includes Gorge Walking, Canoeing, Quad Biking, Fancy Dress/Karaoke and on the Sunday visiting day (Sunday 7th July) Helicopter Rides over the Ballater area kindly donated by HJS Helicopters of Peterculter. We are planning to have a bus travelling from Culter to Ballater on the afternoon of the 7th July to watch the Helicopter Rides.

During the Summer months, there will be no Boys' Brigade on a Thursday evening, however our Pipe Band practice will continue on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Boys' Brigade sections shall re-start in August. Please feel free to contact me for any information on the Boys' Brigade organisation or keep updated by checking our website.
