GUIDING

AS we start a New year,, we lost one of our longest serving Brown Owls. Alison Skea had been a Brownie and Guide in the village and then went on to help with 1st Culter Brownies for several years. Now she has been Brown Owl and much loved by all the girls, but life doesn't stand still these days and Alison told us several months ago that her partner (now husband) was moving to Singapore because of work. Though excited about her lire changes, she was anxious that all would be well with her Brownies. They are now in the capable hands of her sister Andrea and another local girl who has recently moved back into the village is helping as well. I wish Andrea and Lynn many happy Brownie nights.

All the Units in Culter are thriving Just now with most running to capacity. As always, we are looking for adult leaders- In this hectic life we all seem to lead these days, even if you could only help out once a month it would be much appreciated. Next month we will be enrolling approx. 30 new Brownies so I think this gives an indication of how busy we are.

Any one wanting to know more about Guiding in Culter can contact me.
