THEATRE CLUB

THE Theatre has quite a busy calendar ove r thecoming weeks and V hopefully you will find something that will interest you.

On Saturday 21st May at 7.30pm, we will be providing an evening of Wit, Wine & Wensleydale.

The evening will comprise of two extremely funny one act plays `Last Panto in Little Grimley' and `LastTango in Little Grimley'. The cost for the evening will be 66 per adult. Not only does this include the performances of two highly entertaining one act plays but it also includes delicious cheese and sumptuous wine for all to enjoy.

This year we will be performing `Honk' as the summer production. In the London season featuring the appearance of `The Lion King', `Honk' became a stand-out by winning the 2000 Oivier Award (the British equivalent of the Tony Awards) for Best New Musical.

Written by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, `Honk' is the story of Ugly, whose odd, gawky looks instantly incite prejudice from his family and neighbours. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry cat, Ugly must find his way home. Along his rollicking and harrowing journey he not only discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms.

Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, `Honk' will treat the audience to equal amounts of laughter and tears. Its charm, humour and message of tolerance are perfect for the family audience.

`Honk' will be performed on the 24th June & 25th June with an additional matinee performance on the 25th June.
