SECRETARY'S REPORTCULTER Community Council lost another member when Paul Anderson resigned. Congratulations to Paul who was promoted by his company but, to our dismay, he had to relocate to the Bristol area. Paul had participated fully in the activities within Culter. Among these were helping to set up Millside Residents' Group; member of the Village Hall committee; member (and latterly minute secretary) of CCC; co-ordinator of the Gala Committee. On a very personal level, I miss the fact that Paul dealt with all aspects of the minutes and 1 appreciated this very much. On a happier note, another of our members, Nicola Hector gave birth to a baby boy. Charlie joins his sister Luisa and dad Stuart to keep Mum busy. (This is a joke, as Nicola is treasurer for all accounts associated with Cutter Community Council - CCC, Gala, Courier and now Cutter in Bloom. She takes an active part in all of these groups and we sincerely hope that the extra family member will not inhibit her in the immediate future.) I have to thank Callum Stuart for pointing out to me that the August issue of the Cutter Courier will be the 100th. It is hoped that we can make this a special edition and ask if you have any related memories you would wish to share with other readers'? On looking back to old copies, there were no advertisements but there were cartoons - although far fewer pages. The wee picture at the top of the front page also changed when the Mill lum came down. (I still think it should be in our picture.) Marjory J. Skinner, Secretary |
