Eastleigh Care Centre

RESIDENTS and staff are recovering from a hectic festive season. At the beginning of December we hired a minibus to take us to the Special Shopping Night at the Bon Accord Centre. Not only did the residents enjoy the experience of visiting the large shops but they also enjoyed seeing the Christmas Lights in Union Street and beyond. Another group were also taken out the following week to see the Christmas Lights.

Our Christmas party was a great success with a visit from Santa. Many relatives and friends attended and all were well entertained by the talents of singer / accordionist Bob Dunlop.

On Hogmanay we held a social afternoon when we were well entertained to a Scottish programme by Jack Mearns resplendent in his kilt.

Prior to Christmas we held yet another successful Silent Auction in spite of the fact that it clashed with other functions in the village. We will hold another one on Friday, 18 November, 2005 at Eastleigh.

Other dates for your diaries are as follows:

Friday, 25 February, 2005 - QUIZ NIGHT. Further information maybe obtained from me at Eastleigh.

Saturday, 21 May, 2005 - MAY FAYRE 2 - 4 p. m. Look out for details later.

We look forward to welcoming you to Eastleigh and thank you for your loyal and generous support.

Kind regards,

Margaret Mearns, Activities Organiser.
