Culter Boys' Club
CULTER Boys Club Under 19s Colts are on the look out for i)
coaching staff and ii) a new goalkeeper.
i) The potential coach ideally should be willing to devote one
hour on a Wednesday evening to help with training and coaching drills and also
Saturday afternoons on match day.
This could possibly suit someone who has played at either amateur
or junior level but more importantly the person should be a lover of football,
have a good knowledge of the game and relish the challenge of taking a talented
group of 17 and 18 year olds into a more respectable position in the top
division of the juvenile league.
All administration duties will be taken care of, so the new coach
will
be able to concentrate on preparing the players for their games and offering
encouragement and advice from the touchline.
ii) The goalkeeper should be born on or after 1st January 1986
and should preferably have experience of playing in goal at a similar level.
Anyone interested in either of these positions should contact
Stuart Duck on
stuart.duck@btinternet.com or by telephone on 01224 732600 or 07808 976292.
Culter Boys Club is taking a close interest in the proposal to
build a skateboard park on part of the Culter Primary School pitch. There is no
doubt that the intent is to provide more amenities for local youngsters but it
would be a great pity if this hampered access to the pitch for other users
including Culter Boys Club. Use of the pitch for supervised training and matches
is vital for the club which now has over 200 boys and girls playing football at
all ages right up to under 19s.
Hopefully, all interested parties including Aberdeen City Council
and other sports clubs using the pitch, can work together to find the right way
forward.
