47TH ABERDEEN (CULTER) COMPANY BOYS BRIGADE

THE boys have been enjoying their Thursday evenings over the last few months and recently restarted after the Christmas holidays. All sections finished the year with a Christmas party - Anchor Boys and Junior Sections had a joint party in the school with party games and refreshments where they had a lot of fun. The Company Section went Ten Pin Bowling and then had a feast at a Pizza restaurant, again good fun was had.

The Company Section are now working towards completing their Target badges before going on to the proper badgework. Junior Section are working towards completing their Achievements in their badge structure. Anchor boys are enjoying themselves with their usual games and activities.

The "Friends of the 47th" have organised a fund raising Boxing night at the Mill Club on the 18th February. Contact John Baxter (01224 734321) or Bob Grant (01224 733226) if you would like to support us by attending this event.

CULTER PIPE BANDS

THE bands have been practising hard over the last few months in preparation for the new competition season. Our first contest will be at the local RSPBA branch mini-bands on March 19th. We have welcomed new members into both competition bands and hopefully we can improve on our results of last season.
