NURSERY WOODLAND GARDEN PROJECT

LAST autumn saw the launch of the Nursery Garden Project. The aim of the project was to establish an area where predominantly the nursery pupils can learn about nature in a safe environment. The hope is, however, that pupils throughout the school will benefit.

We are now happy to advise that part of the fencing we require has now been erected by Aberdeen City Council. This work was done over the summer break. Also, with the funds raised by the nursery children, parents and staff standing at over £3000, we are now in a position to have the further fencing completed. Weather permitting we are hoping

that this will begin shortly. Once the fencing is in place we will be able to start the clearing process.

The garden committee would like to thank all the people who responded to our plea for pots, soil and help earlier in the year as well as all the nursery parents and staff for their funding raising efforts. We will be in touch in the near future with those people who offered help - once our project is truly underway.

Further fund raising events are being organised for the last part of this year and will include a sponsored assault course for the nursery children to take part in and also a small Christmas Fair on the evening of Thursday 2nd December at 7pm. Any support will be appreciated.
