Peterculter Golf Club
WE HAVE come to the end of
a very successful summer season for Peterculter Golf Club (PGC). Winter golf
starts in November and both members and visitors are welcome to come and enjoy
the course when it is not raining or snowing! The views of the hills and the
river Dee are quite spectacular on crisp clear days. We hope to stay on the
summer greens as much as possible, but frost will dictate the use of winter
greens and the course may be closed early morning until the frost has lifted a
little.
The greens staff will be
busy on a fairly extensive programme of work on the course to ensure that it is
in tip top condition for next year. Work has already started on the new 8th
hole. It should prove a challenge!
On the social side, I'd
like to remind members of:
-
Quiz Night on Friday
12th November (sign up sheet is on the social notice board);
-
Christmas Party/disco
on Saturday 11th December (tickets available from the bar);
-
Hangover Golf Game and
entertainment on Sunday 2nd January;
-
We are also holding a
Burns Supper on Saturday 22nd January so make a note of that date. Last year
we had a very successful Burns Supper and we expect demand for tickets to be
high.
We'd like to take this
opportunity to wish all our members a happy Christmas and a prosperous,
successful New Year both on and off the golf course.
