The Deeside Choristers

CHOIR Camp this year was held on the island of Cumbrae. Millport, the only town on the island, is a holiday resort in its own right, so there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.

The climax of the camp was to sing Evensong at the Cathedral of the Isles, the smallest cathedral in Europe and very beautiful.

Our annual recruiting drive has filled all the vacancies, though we could still accommodate two more boys and girls. Many thanks to the local schools for their cooperation in this yearly marathon!

On September 25th we sang a Gala Concert at Culter Parish Church to a large audience. On Remembrance Sunday we shall sing a special Service at St John's Church, Aberdeen at 6.30pm.

This year's Services of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held at St Mary's church, Blairs, at 7pm on Sunday 12th December, and at St John's Church, New Pitsligo, at 6pm. We hope that at least some of our new recruits will join us on both of these occasions.
