ROTARY CLUB OF
ABERDEEN
DEESIDE
THE
Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside, the youngest Rotary Club in the North of
Scotland, has just passed its third birthday. President Julien Brown says that
the Club is involved in a number of national and international projects, as well
as some in the local community.
Recently
twenty members of the Club visited Cults Academy to give "mock"
interview practice to Sixth year students as they apply to University or for
jobs.
The
Club is also running the Primary Schools' Quiz at a number of local schools
again this year. Last year Cults Primary School was successful in winning
through the local and district rounds of the Quiz, and performed well in the
Scottish finals. Hopefully one of our local
Schools can be even more successful in the coming year.
Our Club currently has 34
members, of whom 8 are lady members. Rotary is an organisation of business and
professional leaders who provide humanitarian service and believe that helping
others is more important than one's own selfinterest.
The Rotary Club of Aberdeen
Deeside meets every Wednesday evening at the Cults Hotel. Speakers are regularly
invited to address the Club on topics of interest. Rotarians come from all walks
of life but are bound together by a common desire to help those less fortunate
than themselves.
We enjoy our meetings and
have fun. If you would like to find out more about Rotary and the Aberdeen
