ABERDEEN
City Council Home Carers undertake a variety of tasks in the community, to
assist people in their own homes. Home Carers help with any personal tasks with
which individuals are having difficulty. Sometimes people only need help for
short periods of time (for example, if they have recently had an operation in
hospital) but others need help in the long-term to enable them to remain in
their own homes. People
need assistance with all sorts of care tasks, such as help to get up, washed and
dressed in the morning, help to move from room to room or help to get ready for
bed in the evening. Are you interested in this type
of work? Even
if you have had no formal training, you may well have the skills needed to help
older people, young families or people with a disability, to remain as
independent as possible. We need people who are caring, have some common sense
and who would enjoy encouraging people to do as much as possible for themselves.
We will provide you with the practical training you need to carry out the tasks
safely and competently. If you would like to find out more about this, we
are holding an Information Session, where you can come along and find out more
about the Home Care service, ask any questions and perhaps register your
interest. Please come along to: Place : THE POP-IN,N DEESIDE RD, PETERCULTER Day
: Wednesday 10 March 2004 Time :
7pm - 8pm Sheila Reid, Home
Care Team Leader and Margaret Wright, Home Care Manager, will be there to answer
all your queries about the work, rates of pay, hours of work, training and so
on. |
