ABERDEEN CRIME PREVENTION

NEW MEMBERS REQUIRED

ABERDEEN Crime Prevention Panel consists of volunteers who work or live within Aberdeen and who meet several times a year to suggest or implement ideas to reduce crime and the fear of crime.

The basic aims and objectives of the Panel are to:

• Promote crime prevention in the locality;

• Help reduce the fear of crime;

• Recruit and develop youth representative on the panel.

The Panel is looking for new members and extends an invitation to anyone, regardless of age, who may be interested, to come along to a meeting, see how it operates and then decide whether or not you want to join. If you do, you will be very welcome, but if after attending you feel it is not for you then there is no obligation.

If you are interested, please contact Sergeant Ed. Fitzgibbon, Grampian Police Crime Prevention Unit (the Panel Secretary) on Aberdeen 386864.
