VILLAGE HALL NEWS
WE WOULD like to take this
opportunity to remind residents of the village that Culter Village Hall receives
no financial aid from Aberdeen City Council and we rely on the generosity of
other groups and our own fund raising activities to maintain the standard of
service and amenity we can offer to user groups.
We endeavour to keep our rental
charges as low as possible to benefit all community users, but this means we
have nothing left over for repairs and up-grading. By the time you read this we
will have held a table top sale, so I would like to thank those who helped with
the organisation. I hope we made a substantial sum!!
The hail runs Kindergym classes
on Wednesdays throughout the school terms for children aged 18 months to 4
years. We are looking for two people to take over the jobs of leader and
assistant. Hours are from
9am
till 2.30pm with a break of 2 hours in the middle. Ideally this would suit a
young Mum whose children are at school and who would like to earn a little money
whilst helping other children learn balance, co-ordination and basic gym skills.
No qualification is required other than enthusiasm and a sense of fun! Training
will be given by the current leader and assistant, and a training video and hand
books are available for interested parties to look through.
If you think you would be
interested in doing this, please contact Alison Skinner at the Hall on 734371,
or pop into the Hall on any term time Wednesday morning between 9.30am and
11am
to see what goes on.
The hail will be closed for
Christmas from Saturday 20th December to Sunday 4th January inclusive. Anyone
who needs to contact the Hall during that period may leave a message on the
answerphone, but please be aware that it will not be dealt with until Monday 5th
January 2003.
We wish all our community group
users a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Susan Chappell-Smith
President.
