WHITE MIGHT!
RUGBY
fans already will know that a former pupil of
Cults
Academy
has been playing in the Scottish Rugby team, but did you realise that he had
been a pupil at
Culter
School
, too?
Yes, Jason White attended
Culter
Primary School
before moving on to
Cults
Academy
where he first started to play rugby. He played for Aberdeen Wanderers then
Glasgow. It was from here that Jason made his international debut in April 2000,
in the win over
England
, and later, in February 2002, he was voted
Scotland
’s Man of the Match against
England
. He now plays ‘lock’ for Sale Sharks and has a promising career ahead of
him.
As I write this (late October)
rugby enthusiasts await the Scottish game against
Fiji
in a few days time. We will know the result by the time you are reading this!
The matches involving our Scottish team so far have been horrendous, but you
can’t keep we Scots from hoping/ wishing / praying /lamenting/ crying /
smiling (unusual) - delete where necessary.
