EASTLEIGH CARE CENTRE
CAN YOU believe we are heading
for winter? After such a lovely summer and a very peasant start to autumn,
it’s hard to imagine we are approaching the worst time of the year for the
elderly. However this will certainly NOT be the case for the residents of
Eastleigh Care Centre. Excitement and anticipation are the buzz words as we all
prepare for the Festive Season. Already plans are afoot for our party, visits to
the Pantomime and trips to see the Christmas lights.
We held a successful Cheese and
Wine Party in September followed by our Autumn Quiz in October. On this occasion
we were joined by some pupils from Primary 7 at
Culter
School
. They were a great credit to their parents, their school and themselves. Well
done, boys and girls.
Our next fund raising event is
our Silent Auction to he held in the Care Centre on Friday 14 November at
7pm.
Hopefully we will have received items for sale from friends before this.
On behalf of staff and
residents at
Eastleigh
I would like to thank you again for your continued support and wish everyone a
very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Margaret Mearns
(Editor: U nfortunately
everyone will not be in receipt of their Courier before the date of the Silent
Auction but if you are, please try to support this event.)
