CULTS CRICKET CLUB
ANOTHER cricket season has come
to a close and I am very pleased to report that season 2003 was very successful
for Cults CC.
1st XI - Grade 1 Champions,
Aberdeenshire Cup Winners and Thomson Shield Winners and captained extremely
ably by Bryan Alexander who was also Man of the Match in the cup final.
2nd Xl - Finishing second in
Grade 3 has resulted in promotion to Grade 2. This will he the first time that
Cults CC will have sides in Grades I and 2. Well done to Phil Gill and his team.
Under l3s finished second in
their league. There are some very promising juniors corning through the ranks.
Several have been blooded in the Senior XIs - this is the Club’s future, Cults
has always been a club that players are judged by ability and not age. If you
are good enough, you are old enough!
Cults CC is now in hibernation.
In the next edition of the Culter Courier there will he arrangements for Season
2004. This will cover pre-season nets. For indoor nets, please refer to our web
site. Cults CC have a lot of playing commitments for Season 2004 and players are
always required. It you want to play this great game of cricket, please contact
me at the number below.
