47th BB
47TH CULTER BOYS BRIGADE
FIRSTLY, may I apologise to all
readers for the BB not having an entry in the last Culter Courier, mainly due to
the fact that I found myself away most of the Summer months with the
organisation!
The Boys are now well into
their new session meeting every Thursday evening at Culter School Anchor Boys
are enjoying various craft work, along with their usual sports and games. Junior
Section continues with weekly inspection, drill, badgework, and also enjoying
sports and games. Members of Company Section are being inspected every week in
their squads before some marching and discipline. They have been very busy with
their badgework programme recently, including tidying the streets of Culter for
their Community Badge. All three sections will be enjoying their usual Christmas
Parties next month before a break for the festive period.

CULTER PIPE BANDS
WE ARE delighted to announce
that our senior pipe band, Culter & District, will once again be competing
on the formal circuit in the forthcoming competition season. Along with our
youngsters of the 47th Culter BB Pipe Band, the village will once more be
represented on the national and international arenas by two pipe bands.
Sustaining both bands competitively is a major fundraising challenge and one
which relies on the community support afforded by the generous residents of
Culter. On behalf of the Culter Pipe Bands, we thank Culter's residents for
their continued support.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year
