CULTER THEATRE CLUB

CULTER Theatre Club will be creating ‘Midsummer Madness’ for their Summer Show this year. We certainly have something for everyone, comedy, drama and music.

Our comedy one act play is ‘Goodbye Mr Chippling’ directed by Rita Hunter, featuring Mr Oscar Chippling (Fergus Hardie) a cinema projectionist, who is made redundant by the council. A meeting takes place to decide the future of the cinema, only the results are not what you would expect. This is a hilarious and very entertaining comedy, which recently won an award at the SCDA festival held in Aberdeen Art Centre.

The one act play drama we will be performing for you, is ‘Guilting the Lily’ directed by Susan Chappell-Smith, a drama about life-changing events and the effect this has on relationships. It is highly emotional and promises to bring many sentiments to the fore, for all who watch and enjoy it.

Our Finale will be a musical ‘sizzler’ of summer songs and dance - the musical director will be David Starbuck. This section will be a dedication to many summer favourites - performed by both our adult and junior members - which I guarantee will make you want to sing and dance in the aisles!!

If you appreciate good drama and music and want to have a spectacular, memorable evening - then make sure you don’t miss this show!!
