PLAYGROUP NEWS

FIRSTLY a huge ‘Thank you’ to all of you in Culter who have helped us on the way towards our £10,000 fundraising total. You’ll no doubt remember reading about Playgroup’s dire financial position. After our ‘one-off’ door-to-door collection, Jumble Sale and Nearly-new Sale of children’s goods, we have Managed to raise in excess of £7,000. By the time of printing, our ever-popular Ladies’ Night will have come and gone - with laughs galore.

The Evening Express news team is becoming a frequent visitor at Playgroup reporting on our efforts to save us from closure. We have signed up to become one of this year’s E.E. children 2000 groups. Please help us raise more cash by cutting out and keeping Children 2000 tokens from the paper. (Hand them in or post to Playgroup, Culter Village Hall, 170 North Deeside Road .) Thank you!

Our committed and up beat Playleaders, Sheena, Sheila and June, have been making the most of the recent good weather by taking the children outdoors for activities and have been discussing Spring as a topic. Because of the unseasonable dry weather, we may have to use a garden sprinlder to simulate April showers!

There are two vacancies for our group of oldest children. Pre-schoolers of 4-5 years

- the ‘Birds and Bees’ (Tuesday afternoons

1pm - 3.3Opm). Phone Playgroup on 733289 for details.

Lastly - are you looking for some ‘no fuss’ retail therapy? Then look no further!
