DURING Gala Week, visitors to Culter Library who are feeling a little apprehensive about using the new computers will have the opportunity to receive some free advice and tuition. If you would like to learn new skills such as using the keyboard or mouse, surf the internet or impress your grandchildren in Kuala Lumpur by sending an e-mail then do not be afraid. Free taster sessions will be available in the library Monday 26 May and Tuesday 27 May between lOam and 12 noon . An afternoon session will be available on the Thursday. In order that library staff can offer individual support and guidance, it will be necessary to book sessions in advance, so make haste to the library for more details.

Once you have gained computer confidence and are ready to access information on your summer holiday destination, you might also like to check out the new database for reference works - KnowUK. This will help you find answers to the ‘Sports Personality Quiz’ sheets that are currently available and are in keeping with this year’s Gala theme.

Children are welcome to attend a storytime on Monday 26 May at 3pm followed by a game of book bingo and badge making.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday:

l0am - 12.30pm and 2pm - 7pm

Friday: 10am -12.3Opm and 2pm - 5pm

Saturday: 10am - 1pm
