IMAGINE those long sunny evenings along a broad sandy beach....imagine ice cream stall and candy floss perhaps even Punch and Judy shows (if they are still allowed in these politically correct days) Imagine smiling children hopping and skipping along looking for something to do Imagine all this and realise something is missing? What could it be? Remember back to the ‘olden
days’ before cars polluted our air and life was slower...What is it that joins
these two distant memories together? And what links the celebration of Christmas
with Easter and the animal Mary first rode and 33 years later Jesus rode on his
way into Now those dreams can come true, for in Camphill Estate, we have acquired a donkey cart to hitch onto our donkeys, and rides along the railway line have become a reality Some of you may have already spotted Judy with her donkey, either Pedro or Vicki, and cart in tow, trundling along the railway line to Newton Dee Village Store to collect the weekly provisions or to the Office in Murtle to collect the mail. So if you see her on the railway line, stop and say “Hello” and perhaps she will give you or your child a helping ride along the way! If not, soon it wifi be Open Day time again and rides will be available for one and all. Have a nice summer! LAURENCE ALFRED |
