RIDING FOR THE DISABLEDDeeside Group Volunteers Needed!OUR Riding for the Disabled Group meets at Raemoir Stables, Banchory on Tuesday and Friday mornings also Wednesday evenings. Disabled adults and children from the Deeside area enjoy forty-five minute sessions of riding with a qualified instructor in the outdoor school or occasionally a gentle hack in the surrounding countryside. Most of the riders need three helpers, one to lead the pony and one on either side of the pony to assist the rider when necessary. Our session runs from April to October with breaks for school holidays Experience with horses is not necessary to be a helper, and training is given. If you would like to help and require further information, please contact Eileen 01224 732875 or Frances 01224 734987. Eileen Lawson. |
