CULTER SCHOOL PTA

CHRISTMAS has come and gone and we are well into the second term of school. Last term saw some very successful fundraising events e.g. Bingo Night in October and back in November we had a very interesting 'Ladies Evening' on an international theme which included a demonstration of Singaporean cooking and a talk on 'Tradecraft' and also a Beer Tasting Evening with some unusual Scottish and continental beers.

Looking forward, the main event, which the PTA will be organising, is the School Spring Sale on Saturday 22nd March. This is an ideal opportunity to clear out your cupboards for old books, videos, toys, bric-a-brac etc. The Sale no longer accepts clothing as we found it just didn't sell. We distribute leaflets with further details to all the households in Culter. Teas, coffees and home baking are sold in the school canteen, games for the children are to be found in the infant hall and we have a raffle, with a first prize of £100, as well as many other interesting prizes.
