'Crime on the Increase at Culter Library'

READERS in the community will be pleased to note that Culter Library has benefited from £50,000 allocated to the Library Service by Aberdeen City Council from additional Scottish Executive funding. Over the next few months, a selection of crime novels will be available to borrow along with a promotion of fiction titles that have since been adapted to the silver screen. Other 'themed' collections are to follow so that you are certain to find something that will be of interest on your next visit. If you are interested in visual entertainment, check out the selection of DVDs that are new to the shelves.

Those of you who make the journey to Cults Library in order to 'surf the net' now need travel no further than your neighbourhood library at Culter. Six PCs will be available for public use with free Internet access. The library will also accommodate printing facilities and a scanner for copying text and images. If you forget your work disk, don't worry - you will be able to purchase at the issue desk. Anyone interested in using these facilities should take some formal identification, including address, to the library and register as an Internet user. Happy surfing!

The library opening hours are:

Mon, Tues, Thurs    10am-12.30pm and 2pm-7pm

Wed                            CLOSED

Friday                        10am-12.30pm and 2pm-5pm
