DEESIDE CHORISTERS
It seems ages since we sang
our Christmas music,
with 42 of the singers packing the choir stalls of St Machar's Cathedral on
7th December, and on the 22nd, half that number doing the same at All Saints, Strichen - a new and lovely venue for us. Both Services went very well.
We hope to sing Evensong at
St John's
,
St John's Place
(off
Crown Street
)
on the second Sundays of February and March. Although the music
of the March Service will reflect the mood of Lent, we are
not singing 'Lenten Images' this year. Instead we hope
to present an interesting and varied concert at
St John's
in the summer.
It will comprise some of our favourite music from the Elizabethan period
up to the present day, instrumental and solo
items - using all our resources. The date will be announced in the next issue of the Courier.
