5O + WALKING GROUP

(11th July - 17th October)

THURSDAY 11 July was a memorable day for us as our most senior member, namely Adam Craigmile, celebrated his 89th birthday on that date. We walked to Cults via the old railway line then had lunch with some former walkers and enjoyed a party atmosphere with Adam. We wish him many more such days.

Our next outings were to Fasque House and grounds, Loch Muick, followed at the end of August to Fetternear and Kemnay. September - and autumn is with us, showing a change of colours and our outing on the 5th was to White Cow Woods and Aden Park . A bit of rain but our spirits were not dampened! September 19th our walk was to Hill O' Fare and the views were excellent and weather good too.

Onwards and well into autumn, our next day out, at the beginning of October was to Glen Quoich, starting at the Punch Bowl. This was followed by another visit to Glen Tanar, one of our favourites. We are having a good turnout most days and I think the holiday time is past. Winter is just round the corner but that will not keep us at home. A day out with good company, coffee stop and we are enjoying ourselves.
