CULTER THEATRE CLUB

REHEARSALS are well under way for Culter Theatre Club's llth pantomime'Little Red Riding Hood -The Panto', an original script by one of our members Pauline de Koning. Pauline will direct the show, Susan Chappell-Smith is the producer and Josie Wallace is musical director. This is Pauline's second original script for Culter Theatre Club, her first being 'Don't Let the Bug Bite' in June 2000.

The Aberdeen by-pass has caused great concerns for the people of Aberdeen -and Panto Land is no exception! The woods, through which Little Red Riding Hood walks to visit her Grandma, are in danger of being bulldozed down for the new by-pass Oh dear!! I feel a 'fight' coming on between the Tree Protesters, with Little Red Riding Hood as their champion, and the Woodcutters, led by the 'handsome' Peter.

There are some new faces in the cast -Emma Lockhart, age 14, will play Little Red Riding Hood. Emma attends Cults Academy . Leslie Stein plays Peter, Alistair Donaldson is Ma our Dame of the show - of course there is the Wolf and his sidekick Delia the Dippy Cook - played by Bill de Koning and Karen Ancell. Bill just happens to be Pauline's husband, but he has assured her he will leave the 'wolf at the Stage Door!! There is also a roving TV Reporter, Davina, played by Nicola Pirie.

The show includes top musical numbers, 'River Deep Mountain High', Spice up Your Life', 'April Showers', 'Bad' and many more to keep you dancing in your 'seats'!!

Show dates are Wednesday 4th, Thursday 5th, Friday 6th December -all evening performances at 7.30pm .

On Saturday 7th there is also a matinee at 2pm . The venue is Culter Village Hall on North Deeside Road , Peterculter. Tickets are priced at £5.50 for adults and £4 for concessions.
