PETERCULTER PARISH CHURCH
ON Saturday
30 November from
2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
we will be holding
our annual Christmas Fayre in the
church halls. There will be a variety of stalls including videos/ CDs,
bric-a-brac, cake and candy, flowers, toys
etc. Tea, coffee and home baking will
be served and tea tickets are available
in advance from the church office
(735845) or at the door on the day. If
you wish to hand in items, you can do
so on the evening before from
7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
or contact Peter Campbell to arrange collection.
On
Monday 16 December at
6.30p.m.
we will be having our popular Outdoor Carol Service in the church car park or in
the hall if the weather is poor, with the Boys' Brigade Centenary Brass Band.
This will be followed at
7.45p.m.
with a Christmas concert by the Sweet Adelines. If you would like tickets for
this, please contact Val Muir. Our Family Christmas Service takes place on
Sunday 22 December at lla.m. with a Nativity Play performed by the children. On
24 December at
7
p.m.
our Christmas Eve Family Service will take place and on the same evening at
11.15p.m.
there will be the Watchnight Service, with a Christmas Play. Then on Christmas
Day itself, there will be a short Family Service and all children are encouraged
to bring along their new toys.
As
well as Sunday worship, we continue to have a short service for everyone in the
village every Thursday morning
from
11.30
a.m.
-
11.45
a.m.
in the church. We have also started a weekly 'Wednesday Worship', every
Wednesday for half an hour from
7
p.m.
For those not always able to manage along
to church on a Sunday, these services will hopefully provide an alternative.
Everyone is welcome - you do not have to be a member to come along!
John
Ferguson.
